Dr. Henry Robert Hedrick, 1st Princeton University Slavic Ph.D (1966)

Dr. Henry Robert Hedrick, the first person ever to be awarded the Ph.D in Slavic Languages and Literatures at Princeton in 1966 visits the Department. Dr. Hedrick's dissertation title was "The poetry of Derzhavin". Pictured are Professor and chair Michael Wachtel, Dr. Hedrick, Professor Caryl Emerson and Professor Ellen Chances.

Dr. Hedrick passed away at the age of 88 in 2020.
