Created by Peter the Great in 1703, for more than three centuries St. Petersburg has been Russia’s “window on Europe”. The city blends together fascinating Russian heritage with a distinctly European outlook. With its unique combination of classical arts, architecture, and music, St. Petersburg is often considered to be the cultural capital of modern day Russia. During the Princeton-in-Petersburg Program, participants would have numerous possibilities to visit the city’s museums, theaters, and parks.
