Advanced Russian Reading and Conversation I na, npdf Professor(s): Ksana Blank Description/Objectives: A literature/language course designed to further develop speaking and reading proficiency, comprehension and writing skills through substantial expansion of vocabulary, work on sentence structure, review of selected grammar topics, discussion of the literary texts, and work with a movie "Ironiia sud'by". Sample Reading List: Alexander Pushkin , "Mednyi Vsadnik" Sandra Rosengrant, Elena Livshitz , "Focus on Russian: Interactive Approach to Communication" Eduard Riazanov , "Ironiia sud'by" (film) Reading/Writing Assignments: Weekly essays and grammar exercises.
